Scholarships for High School Teachers, Counselors and Librarians

Each semester, College of DuPage offers tuition-free scholarships for three teachers, counselors or librarians from each high school in our district. We believe this is a way for College of DuPage to meet the needs of our district educators as they build their portfolios toward certificate renewal. College of DuPage, as a regionally accredited institution of higher education, is approved by ISBE as a provider of professional development activities.

The scholarship will cover only the cost of tuition – the recipients will pay for fees and books. Tuition at College of DuPage is $103 per credit hour. A teacher registering for a four-credit class would receive a $412 scholarship. The class selected by the recipient needs to be a credit generating class. Non-credit, Continuing Education courses are not covered by this scholarship.

Tuition voucher forms are sent to the principal of each high school during the semester’s registration period, and the high school uses its own selection process to distribute the scholarships. For more information, contact Bonnie Shalin at (630) 942-2485 or via e-mail.
