On Tuesday October 20 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, the College of DuPage will host a large student event titled Explore Engineering.  It will be co-hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Engineering.  Dean Carl Larson from Illinois will oversee the event activities.  Explore Engineering is geared specifically for high school juniors and seniors who have interest in math, science, and engineering.  Our goal is to inform and recruit young minds into the field of engineering by showing them the diverse and exciting career paths a degree in engineering can foster.

To do so, we have gathered eight speakers who work within different lines of engineering.  Each speaker will hold 20 minute breakout sessions and students may attend any three of these sessions.  At the end of the evening, refreshments will be served and all speaker will be available for socialization and questions.

Furthermore, we will have deans, professors, and representatives from all the major universities in the area that offer an engineering program.  Students will be able to speak with each of these schools, ask questions and gather information about each school’s engineering programs.  The schools that will certainly be in attendance are:
