Nancy Zdarko Svoboda, Ed.D., NCC

During my 30+ years at College of DuPage, I have been a full-time faculty member as a counselor, who works with the areas of educational counseling, career counseling, life transition counseling and personal counseling. Most of my counseling time has been spent one-on-one with students in my office, but also there has been the opportunity to develop, address and teach these counseling areas in the classroom through Ed 1105, Career Development. The classroom does not need to be limited to physical walls, so the course has been adapted to the Center for Independent Learning delivery style of telelearning and on-line, both of which I have helped develop and teach. My energy for teaching in each delivery style has continued to grow over the years, especially since I have been able to witness the growth and development of students as they move through the course.
