This photo is taken from the original gate house of the castle looking to the east.  The clear area in the background is the Morava Valley and the Moravian Gate area.  Interestingly, this castle gate was later moved to the opposite end of the structure once gun powder came into regularly use in the 15th century.  It seems it was too easy for enemy gunners to set up across the small moat protecting the entrance to the site and simply blow the door up!
