The Czech American Archaeological Field School and its professional partner team, the Czech American Archaeological Research Program (CARPro), recovered the first copper axe ever excavated in situ in Moravia during the 2002 field season at the site of  Dzban.  Here, CARPro team member Douglas Frink, along with his field school excavation partner, review the provenience and finding of that axe.
