What Henry Adams said of the teacher's power is so true: "a teacher . . . can never tell where his influence stops." Looking back on my life, I have been very fortunate to meet many good teachers because they gave me a  lifelong lesson to accentuate the positive within me and to do it through hard work. And that is why I am here at the College of DuPage so that I can bring that kind of influence on my students.

Recipient of the 2005-2006
Outstanding Faculty Award

Poem:

My heroism is as far as to
The very next day,
If by that bridge of time fate awaits
Heaven or hell.

What elixir the soul imbibes,
That it so renews its sum:
The proclamation of the sun,
The scintillation of stars.
(Published in the 1988 Muse anthology)
