Obtained four Small Business Innovative Research Phase I awards ($60,000 - $80,000) from NSF and DOD for development of new optical materials for ultra-miniature solid-state lasers, high-power mid-IR lasers, high-efficiency, compact tunable lasers and eye-safe laser radar.
