College of DuPage as part of a collaborative of several area community colleges and universities was recently awarded a NSF grant to establish an undergraduate research collaborative (URC) to promote authentic research at the community college. See link for details on the award. Read this narrative to get a flavor for what goes on in undergraduate research. This is a major opportunity to establish COD as a national leader in developing and promoting scientific talent at the undergraduate level. For those that want to get involved there lies the potential for working on research projects of scientific substance at COD, at local universities, at major research laboratories and at other universities.
