In the Norton text or in LITWEB, read Writing About Literature, A3-A17. Including sections on "Copying," "Paraphrase," "Summary."

Then read Dr. Fitch's page, Strategies for Writing Response Statements. Because it is her page, she is the authorial I.

Finally, during the next three weeks, and prior to writing your first paper, also read the following (all these are both on line and in your text):
