Adding a Graphic to the page
After you begin a project by any of the three methods START FROM SCRATCH, HELP ME DESIGN, or CUSTOMIZE A QUICK START LAYOUT (return to those pages for how to get started in any method), you may want to add more pictures and graphics to it.
Begin with a left click on the INSERT GRAPHIC button in the vertical object tool bar at the left of the program. This opens up the SELECT A GRAPHIC dialog box, where you choose your graphic. You can also access the graphics with a left click on the INSERT menu, move the mouse cursor to the GRAPHIC option and left click on ALL or a specific graphic type. This ALSO opens the SELECT A GRAPHIC dialog box

The SELECT A GRAPHIC dialog box lets you search alphabetically through the list of graphics for one that you like. Some of the graphics need to access the program CD disk to show you the pictures so you may need to place the PRINT SHOP PREMIER EDITION CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. |
| You may also view the graphics in three ways: |
|
When you find a graphic that you like, select it with a single left click and then left click on OK OR double left click on the graphic. Your chosen graphic will be be put in the center of your project page ready for further resizing and/or placement.
Altering an Object
Positioning a graphic box
Assuming you have a graphic on your project page, it needs to be selected before you can do anything with it. A graphic box usually appears selected after you finish choosing a graphic from the SELECT A GRAPHIC dialog box. If there are several items on the page, you must select one by moving the mouse until the arrow pointer cursor is over the object and left click on the object. It will appear the same as the text box with control handles in the four corners and a center line with a box handle on it:
