The Literary Apprentice
Write a Short, Short Story about Your Early Reading

To give you a glimpse into your reading repertoire, and especially into some formative experiences with literature, write a short, short narrative which vividly conveys an encounter you had with reading before the age of seven.

You should feel total freedom here as long as you convey the experience vividly. You can select any point of view for this as well. You can be a child, an adult, or the book!

Your goal is to convey what this experience was. Of course, you should not be constrained by bare facts, but rather to convey an essence of a truth about reading that remains vivid for you.

Sharing these can be interesting.
