About Me

I have been working for the College of DuPage Field and Experiential Learning department since 1994. Currently I teach over 20 for-credit outdoor adventure courses a year, and manage operations at the Field Studies Center on the College of DuPage campus. Over the years, I have developed and implemented over 200 successful adventure courses all over the world - from the colorful coral reefs off the Florida Keys to the alpine tundra of arctic Alaska - from the rugged Na Pali Coast of Kauai to the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I have had extensive training and experience with wilderness, and non-wilderness emergency medicine. Once a trained Emergency Medical Technician and Wilderness EMT, I currently hold a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification.

In my free time I enjoy mountaineering, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, biking, making music, reading, photography and traveling.
