Ephemeroptera: Oligoneuridae (Torpedo Mayflies)

• 3 pairs of jointed legs, each with a single claw; 3 tail-like filament with dense fringe on inside edges.
• 1 pair of wingpads apparent.
• Flat gills with tufts along abdomen.
• Thorax extremely hunched and head angle slightly beyond vertical.
• Forelegs with dense comb of long, stout hairs.
• Mouth parts hairy.

Length: 9 mm to 17 mm
