Third Short Essay

At the end of the "Godfather" handout you received, beginning on the second to last page, there are a series of statements regarding the success of the film. Using no more than three of the statements (you may use only one) use your analyses (drawing on in-class work and  your notes on the "bare bones" section) to explain how the film made such a strong connection with audiences.

2. Show how the statement is born out by citing specific , relevant scenes/images/dialogues/characterizations in the film.

3. Connect the scenes/images/dialogues etc. to American cultural mythology (ie; American Dream, the macho cowboy, honor among thieves) or popular themes in the way we understand history, politics, economics, sociology...
