Homework: T/Th Class Linked Readings RESEARCH HELP LINKS

Starting to put together your Harper's Index Quote paper

1. First, write down everything you already know, think you know, or believe about this topic, including opinions, the significance(s) of the statistic, and the kinds of arguments or discussion that are the cause and/or result of the statistic. As much as possible, write in paragraphs, developing your ideas rather than in bullet points.

2. Now, look through what  you've written and determine what questions are raised by your statements, what you need/want more information about, what needs explanation. Those are the things you need to research.

DO NOT BEGIN by  looking up your topic.  Research is not useful or relevant unless it is generated by a question. Begin with what you know/think, and then look for what others know/think. Otherwise, you are in severe danger of PLAGIARIZING.
