SECOND PAPER ASSIGNMENT

Choose one of the questions to write about, using many specific examples from the various sources and including a variety of  explanations and possibilities to explore your thesis.

In what ways are The Book of Job,  Wheel of Life, Inferno, and Tibetan Book of the Dead  works  of imagination and art rather than religion and philosophy alone? How do the  fantastic, imaginative, and dramatic elements contribute to their overall effectiveness? Give examples from each.

 How does allegory function in The Book of Job,   Wheel of Life Inferno, and Tibetan Book of the Dead  ? Think about the subject on both a universal level (Everyman story) and a particular level (the correspondence between specific punishments and specific sins). How do these examples reflect  on the concept of absolute/holy.?
