Quotation Exercise

Speakers who use presentation visuals are considered better prepared and more persuasive and interesting … than speakers who do not use visuals.  Presentation visuals support and clarify a speaker’s ideas and help the audience visualize the message.  A speaker using presentation visuals hits the listener (receiver) with double impact – through the eyes and the ears – and achieves the results quoted in an ancient Chinese proverb:  “Tell me, I’ll forget.  Show me, and I may remember.  But involve me and I’ll understand.”

EXERCISE:  Using the above passage, set up four direct quotes (two with the frame before the quote, two with the frame following the quote).  Note, if you use the Chinese proverb she quotes, you will need single quotation marks inside double ones.
