Complete the following exercises, using a concept of your choice.

1. Define your topic using a stipulative definition. In effect, this says, “Let’s for now understand this term this way.”

2. Classify your concept or some part of it into at least two parts, and clearly illustrate each part, using examples or other methods of development.

3. Write a page or so comparing/contrasting your topic to something else. Be careful to limit the basis of your comparison, and underline where you state that basis.  Use chunking or sequencing as your method of development.

4.  Write an extended definition and if possible a historical definition of your concept.
