During the past two year the Student Outcome Assessment Committee
tested the general education competencies of 2339 students using the six skills
area-tests of the ACT/College Assessment of Academic Proficiencies instruments (CAAP). Now that we have the data, it is incumbent upon us to evaluate and respond to these results. This action step is critical to the success of the assessment feedback loop, as designed in the assessment plan; to assuring a quality education for our students; and to accreditation. Because of our shared commitment to improving student learning, we hope that this summary will open a dialogue that will engage the College community in a fruitful discussion of everyones contribution to general education. We hope that you participate in that dialogue by completing the response form and returning it to us through the Office of Assessment and Testing. Student Outcome Assessment Committee |
