Discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Academic Opportunities March 19 at COD

Learn about careers and educational options in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields at College of DuPage’s STEM Spotlight event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College’s main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
Free and open to all, this event is geared toward high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with COD faculty, participate in career inventory assessments and hear from a panel moderated by Christopher Burke, Ph.D., president of Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., and featuring COD alum Argonne National Laboratory energy systems risk analyst Erna Gevondyan, microbiologist for Now Foods Jake Slinkman, and UIUC Engineering student Josie Suter.
The event also will provide information about two- and four-year educational options, transfer opportunities and scholarships.

The goal of STEM at College of DuPage is to enhance the quality of STEM instructional and outreach programs and to help current and future students prepare for careers in STEM fields.
