COD Forensics Novice Team Finishes Second at 2018 Novice National Championships

The College of DuPage Forensics Novice Team took second place in both the Division I Sweepstakes and Open Sweepstakes at the 2018 Novice National Championship Tournament at Suffolk University in Boston in March.

Individual winners include Amy Ayyad (Naperville), fifth place in Informative Speaking; Max Campbell (Villa Park), second place in Informative Speaking and fifth place in Speech to Entertain; Djimon Lewis (Bolingbrook), first place in Poetry Interpretation, second place in Program Oral Interpretation, fourth place in Slam Poetry and fifth place in Individual Speaker Awards; Gavin McDonnell (Naperville), fifth place in Dramatic Interpretation and sixth place in Speech to Entertain; Kelsey Peters (Glen Ellyn), first place in Communication Analysis; Paola Ramos (Warrenville), fifth place in Poetry Interpretation; and Alexandra Weston (Glen Ellyn), sixth place in Poetry Interpretation. Umme Mandviwala (Naperville) also competed with the team.

The team was led by coaches Kacy Stevens and Brandon Wood.
