College of DuPage Offers Summer Speech Camp for High School Students
By Mike McKissack
The Continuing Education program at College of DuPage will offer a Summer Speech Camp for high school students from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays, July 9 to 19, on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
During the camp, participants will gain a strong foundation in three elements of competitive speaking: public speaking, oral interpretation and limited preparation events. Open to both novice and varsity competitors, the camp will help students learn event fundamentals, develop written and oral communication skills, and provide the opportunity for team building. The program will culminate in a performance showcase where students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
