Continuing their efforts toward increased transparency, College of DuPage officials recently issued a 2018 Budget-in-Brief document for the current fiscal year.

The 15-page document is available on the College’s website and offers a comprehensive summary of the College’s overall budget, which was approved June 22 by the Board of Trustees.

“Our finance team put much thought and effort into creating a document that supports the administration and Board’s efforts to be transparent,” said President Dr. Ann Rondeau. “It is my hope this summary promotes further confidence and trust in College of DuPage.”

The College’s annual budget is more than 200 pages and is the culmination of six months of work, during which input is solicited from the college community and institutional needs are identified, prioritized and resourced. Vice President for Administration and Treasurer (CFO) Brian Caputo said offering a summarized version makes COD’s annual financial plan more accessible and offers a better understanding of its key components.

“The Budget-in-Brief provides College of DuPage constituent groups with basic financial information on the institution in a reader-friendly manner,” he said. “This document reflects not only FY18 budgetary information but also significant short- and long-term College initiatives that shape how we develop our budget.”

College of DuPage is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Serving approximately 27,000 students each term, College of DuPage is the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. The College grants nine associate degrees and offers more than 170 career and technical certificates in over 50 areas of study.
