Emerging Entrepreneurs Program Seeking Student Makers for First Maker Market
By Mike McKissack
The E2 Emerging Entrepreneurs Mentorship program at College of DuPage is seeking individuals with products, services or ideas for the College’s first Maker Market.
The Maker Market, scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, in the Student Services Living Room, will feature products, services and entrepreneurial ideas provided by COD students, as well as students from schools within District 502.
“We are thrilled to be launching our first Maker Market at College of DuPage,” said E2 Emerging Entrepreneurs program support Bev Carlson. “This is a wonderful opportunity to help student makers and entrepreneurs within the College and schools in the community with sound guidance and the opportunity to sell their wares and services."
A series of student maker sessions will be held on the Glen Ellyn campus during the spring term. Sessions include Prepping for the Market, Wednesday, Feb. 7; Maker Marketing 101, Thursday, Feb. 22; and Square, Point of Sale App, Wednesday March 14. All sessions will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 3245.
The E2 Emerging Entrepreneurs Mentorship Program at College of DuPage is for students in any discipline with an entrepreneurial spirit, who recognize an emerging demand and have the determination to pursue it. Click here for more information on the E2 Emerging Entrepreneurs Mentorship program.
