COD ‘Cupcake War’ Raises Funds for Northern Illinois Food Bank

The event, judged by COD President Dr. Ann Rondeau, Vice President of Administration and Treasurer Brian Caputo, and Coordinator and Professor of Culinary, Baking and Pastry Arts Tim Meyers, featured 10 COD student teams presenting and selling their cupcake creations. Peter DiCianni of Team Bob Squad was the overall winner of the competition. AK’s Cupcakes, created by Alyssa Kiszka, received the prize for Most Creative.
Additional competitors included Dea Ajdini (A Taste of Summer), Hannah Gehlhaar (Gehlhaar Cupcakes), Patrick Headley and Kenslight Kotowske (KP Cupckaes), Justin Hecht (Fighting Irish), Maria Murga (Unicorn), Rachel Palluth and Becca Santana (Cupcake Queens), Edith Rodriguez (Adi-Dith Muffin Tops), and Trevona Smith (Baking Only Sensational Sweets).
