College of DuPage Board Votes to Keep Tuition Flat for the Next Year
At its Thursday, March 16, regular meeting, the College of DuPage Board of Trustees voted to keep tuition flat for the fall 2017 and spring and summer 2018 terms. This will be the third year in a row COD leadership will have kept tuition flat.
Tuition and fees will remain at $135 per credit hour for in-district residents.
"We understand affordability is critical for our students," said Board Chairman Deanne Mazzochi. "Through sound financial planning, the College's new leadership has been moving toward a more genuinely balanced budget that allows us to keep tuition flat for the third year in a row."
President Dr. Ann Rondeau noted that College of DuPage is in "good financial condition" and, as such, this positive position should assist with the College's mission of providing accessible, affordable and high-quality education.
"It is our duty as this district's community college to open doors and provide an
experience for our students that is both affordable and often pivotal in changing
their personal and professional lives," Dr. Rondeau said. "I am very pleased with
the Board's decision. It is through continued vigilance in spending our taxpayer dollars
wisely that the bottom line will result in benefits for our students."
