College of DuPage Assistant Culinary Arts Professor Michael Maddox demonstrates the cooking techniques behind popular sweet treats during “Candy Science,” a kid’s culinary workshop, at COD’s Naperville Center. Maddox and COD Culinary Arts Professor Tim Meyers assisted participants in creating several treats while introducing the chemistry of creating marshmallows.
