WDCB Food/Pledge Drive Donates More Than 7,000 Meals to Area Families
As part of its annual Food/Pledge Drive, WDCB 90.9 FM from College of DuPage raised more than 7,000 meals to be donated to hungry families during the holidays.
Sponsored for the fourth year by Elmhurst’s Dr. Daniel J. Fornatto D.D.S., more than 7,000 meals will be donated to and distributed by the Northern Illinois Food Bank and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Concurrent with the food drive, the station’s pledge drive raised $70,000 to support WDCB operations.
“During this pledge drive, our listeners’ donations support two great causes – providing help for those in need and sustaining WDCB,” said WDCB Coordinator of Fundraising Ken Scott. “It’s a feel-good pledge drive and we are very grateful to all our generous listeners and donors.”
