For the 32nd consecutive year, College of DuPage is welcoming two German students through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) program. For the 2014-2015 academic year, students Lucas Adler (left) and Simon Schaarschmidt will live with two host families in Naperville and Wheaton, respectively, and attend classes full time at the College through the reciprocal scholarship program funded by the German Parliament and the U.S. Congress. “I want to meet new people and look at course within my field,” Adler said. “I’m looking at anatomy classes, which I had with my apprenticeship (in Germany).” Schaarschmidt, meanwhile, apprenticed in the travel and tourism field and considers the exchange program an opportunity to experience new things and explore potential new career fields.
