Works by three College of DuPage film students have been nominated for awards at the annual Naperville Independent Film Festival.

The festival, which runs Sept. 13 to 21, will feature screenings of films by students David Pierson (Wheaton), Emily Haas (Lombard), Torrie Rose (Addison), and by Motion Picture/Television Associate Professor Tony Venezia.

Pierson’s “Tea for Three” is nominated for Best Animation, while Haas’ “Sloth of the Cliff,” Rose’s “Chubby Cupcake,” and Pearson’s “The Marriage,” are nominated for Best Student Animation.

Founded in 2008, the Naperville Independent Film Festival provides critiques and feedback to filmmakers while making independent works available to the public.
