NBC 5 Investigative Reporter Phil Rogers Crisis Management Course
NBC 5 investigative reporter Phil Rogers recently taught a Crisis Management course at College of DuPage offered through the College's Homeland Security Training Institute (HSTI). Rogers taught a section on the responsibilities of the media during a crisis, reflecting on his personal real life experience in responding to and reporting on various crisis incidents such as the Oklahoma City Bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in 1995, the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings on Dec. 14, 2012.
The Homeland Security Training Institute at College of DuPage is focused on education for law enforcement, fire science, first responders and corporate security personnel in the area of homeland security.
