Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program at COD Addison Regional Center
College of DuPage will offer a Pharmacy Technician certificate program this fall at the Addison Regional Center, 301 S. Swift Road, as well as on its main campus in Glen Ellyn.
This short-term health care training program will be offered in partnership with MK Education, an education consulting company that specializes in health career training.
The Pharmacy Technician Training Program consists of 105 contact hours. Students will be in the classroom setting learning the fundamentals of being a pharmacy technician, while preparing for the national pharmacy technician certification exams.
"For any student considering a career in pharmacy, this class is an excellent way to get started," said Dr. P. Shah, Pharm.D. "Pharmaceutical topics are studied in detail and students also gain practical experience working in a pharmacy as a technician."
The course meets from Sept. 12 to Dec. 19, with classes held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9:45 p.m. The tuition of $1,499 includes books, materials and lab supplies. A payment plan is available.
Additional courses offered this fall at College of DuPage in conjunction with MK Education include Hemodialysis Technician, Veterinary Assistant and Dental Assistant.
