COD Hosts Tryouts for ‘Culinary Olympics’

Westchester Country Club executive chef Joseph Albertelli adds the finishing touches to a dish during the qualifying competition for the 2016 Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) International Culinary Exhibition, otherwise referred to in the industry as the “Culinary Olympics.” Several College of DuPage students assisted chefs vying for the opportunity to represent the U.S. at this international competition. The College hosted the finals at the Culinary & Hospitality Center at its Glen Ellyn campus and will host monthly training sessions leading up to the 2016 IKA.
