What's New in Multimedia Services

Audio Editing Suite
Digidesign ProTools HD, the full name of the hardware/software, multi-track audio editing suite, Multimedia Services is now using. The addition of ProTools will allow us to efficiently edit and package audio programs into Audio CD's for sale or distribution. The entire process from recording to duplication is kept in the digital domain for maximum quality.


Fourteenth Season
Multimedia Services has begun it's fourteenth satellite teleconference season with a new program "Effective Web Design" this new series is targeted to: web designers and developers for school, public, and special libraries, as well as other organizations that have a need to develop an outstanding Web site.     Audio Based Courses Now on the Web
Tired of sorting through stacks of audiocassettes looking for today's lesson? That may soon be a thing of the past. College of DuPage is testing the streaming of audio courses on our streaming media web site. The audio courses require Microsoft's free Media Player for Windows or Mac. DVD's Production At Multimedia Services
Multimedia Services has begun producing DVD's. The authoring system system is based on Sonic's "DVD Producer," which is an integrated DVD production system for the Windows operating system. Please contact us for details on how we might help you.

The Stream Genie
Multimedia Services has the Pinnacle "Stream Genie." This television studio in a box is based on a dual Pentium platform running Windows NT. Now Multimedia Services will be able to record or web stream events live from most places on campus complete with PowerPoint slides, graphics or keys. The compact unit is also equipped with Soft TV Author for streaming "rich media" active web pages containing audio, video and full-screen graphics.
