The Multimedia production facility is currently 15,000 square feet including a 50' x 50' television production studio with a 15' lighting grid wired for approximately 75,000 watts of lighting fixtures. We recently replaced nearly 50,000 watts of incandescent lighting equipment with energy-efficient florescent lighting. This new lighting will keep your presenters and audience cool and relaxed. Did we mention that we can seat up to 45 people in the studio? The studio also includes 4 color-cameras, 8 channels of wireless microphones, 16 channels of wired microphones and 4 channels of intercom.

Our control room, Edit A, consists of a 32-channel digital audio mixer, a 16 input GVG-250 video switcher/special effects generator. A Grass Valley Group (GVG) DVE and linear editor. A computer prompting system, video typography/still-store system. The Genter phone in bridge with a toll-free queue, for live or transcribed questions.

This room will house three compression engines (Pentium-based computers with capture hardware and compression software). One system will be capable of real-time capture, compression and streaming. A second system handles multi-format streaming and the third will handle complex compression jobs requiring HTML coding or watermarking.

Multimedia Services now has the Stream Genie™, a "multimedia studio in a box" that can record your event or stream it live on the web. The system travels with three Sony VX 2000 DV cameras.

This room currently houses 13 tape-based machines and 1 disk-based machine. Currently 4 of these machines are digital tape based. Within a few years these numbers will change with disk-based server type storage/recording equaling tape-based storage/recording.

This room is equipped with phone, fax, computer and video viewing equipment. There's even an old-fashioned typewriter available! Used for meeting and project assembly by both internal and external clients.

This room houses two banks of high-speed audiocassette duplicators and the necessary support equipment.

This room houses CD-ROM duplication and support equipment and equipment storage.

This room houses the main audio mastering facility and a small recording booth.
