Event Recordings

Make your department’s event, special presentation or guest lecturer available to a larger college audience by taking advantage of Multimedia Services’ event recording service. Video and audio or audio-only recordings are available. This service is particularly well suited to presentations by visiting lecturers or one-time events that are of interest to a wider college audience, such as talks on interdisciplinary topics. Due to staffing and resource issues we cannot honor every event-recording request but we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

Before requesting a recording we ask that you consider the following:
How many people will want to view the event?
How long will this program be useful? Today’s hot topics may be forgotten tomorrow.
If the speaker presents with PowerPoint slides or other media aides, will you be able to get a copy for Multimedia Services to insert into the program later?
How will the program be distributed? Will you keep a copy for continuous classroom use? Will you place reserve copies in the library? Would you like everyone to be able to access the program by placing it on the streaming web server for up to one year?
