Orthodox Synagogue
The beautiful hand painted walls and the “Bima”
in the center of the synagogue are very different
than the traditional Eastern European synagogues.

This is an Orthodox synagogue with the men
participating on the ground floor while the woman
pray in the balcony, separated from the men. Here
the rabbi would stand in the middle of the synagogue
and the congregation would sit on benches or pillows
around him.
