Diagnostic Medical Imaging – Mammography program at College of DuPage is a one-semester post-radiography advanced certificate program available to graduates of an accredited Radiography program as well as students who are completing their second year in C.O.D.'s Radiography program.

Mammographers are highly-trained professionals who work with sophisticated low-dose X-ray equipment to produce both screening and diagnostic images of the breast. Professional duties include performing breast imaging procedures, recording a patient’s clinical history, preparing patients for procedures, operating and evaluating breast images for technical quality, and assisting with interventional procedures and quality control tests.

The advanced certificate program at C.O.D. incorporates the national Mammography curriculum established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the guidelines set by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). The curriculum includes all didactic and clinical competencies required for eligibility for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination.
