Sites for Jobs
One goal of the LTA program is to assist students in finding good jobs. Below are sites to locate general job announcements. These are useful for all occupations. Most of the sites also have library jobs. See “Sites and Resources for Library Jobs” for specific library job information. You may also use these sites to search for library patrons, family members and friends.

Job, Career & College Information
College of DuPage Library Resources
This site offers Job Information Resources, including local and national job listings, company information, and salary services; Career Information Resources, which includes interactive Career Interest Inventories and databases; and College Search and Financial Aid info.

America's Job Bank
America's Job Bank is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Labor and the state-operated Public Employment Service. Employers may post jobs, and job seekers may post resumes. To receive more in-depth services, you must register. This is a great resource for your library reference department.

Monster.Com
This is one of the most well-known national and international job sites. It includes real-time job postings, company profiles, resume skills screening and sample resumes. You will be asked to register. This is a good site for research and for the serious job seeker.

Overseas Jobs
Let’s think globally! Not too many library jobs are listed here, so many library patrons or associates are moving to other countries. This provides a good overview of the global market for non-citizens of particular countries. This is a good resource for research and the global perspective.
