ZoomText is a popular screen magnification software program. With magnification up to 16 times, ZoomText enlarges and enhances everything on the screen, making computer applications easy to see and use.
ZoomText also features "All Color Smoothing", for clear and sharp text at all magnification levels, "Pointer and Cursor Enhancements" that make it easy to find the mouse pointer and text cursor, and innovative "Color Filtering" that lets you change screen colors for improved clarity and reduced eyestrain.
ZoomText Level 1 has been installed on all Priority Stations in the Library.
Or you can double-click on the ZoomText icon on the desktop to launch the application. When ZoomText starts up, it changes your display to show an enlarged view of the normal screen and all of your Windows programs will continue to work as normal.
When you start ZoomText, its user interface appears on the screen. This window contains all required controls for working with this software. You will be working only with the Level 1 toolbar tab.
By leaving the mouse pointer stationary over any ZoomText control, a tool tip will appear and describes the control's function. The help tool displays help information about the clicked-on item. The Zoom Window displays a magnified view of the computer screen. Targets are spots on the screen that you can jump to (much like a bookmark). To delete a target, hold down the CTRL key and click on it.
In order to get to the additional settings of ZoomText buttons, you can right-click on a button and open its associate dialog box.
If there is a ZoomText icon in the system tray (right side of the lower part of the screen), this means ZoomText is running. By clicking on that icon, you can pop up menus that contain important ZoomText settings.
