Any registered student, faculty or staff member of C.O.D. may borrow materials from the Library. Obtain a card at the Circulation Services desk. You will be asked for a photo ID proof of present address and proof of current enrollment if you are a student. If you have purchased a student identification card, please bring it to the Circulation Desk to have it activated. You may also apply online for a temporary library card.
In-district student library cards expire September 30th; out-of-district student library cards expire at the end of the quarter. Please present a photo ID and proof of current enrollment to the Circulation Desk to renew in person. Or you may receive a temporary renewal online.
Students enrolled in online classes are able to obtain a library card via the Internet. Go to the Online Library Card Application for instructions.
Citizens of District 502 who are 18 years of age or older may obtain a library card. Present proof of residency, age, and a photo ID at the Circulation Services desk to obtain a card. Community members may borrow any materials which are in the General Collection or in the Rental Collection. A total of ten (10) items may be checked out at any time on a single card. You may also apply online for a temporary library card. Library cards must be renewed every 3 years. You may present a photo ID and proof of current residency to the Circulation Desk to renew in person. Or you may receive a temporary renewal online.
If you do not live District 502 but are employed in the District, you are also eligible for a library card. Please present a signed letter on company letterhead verifying employment, a photo ID and proof of your current address. Out-of-district library cards expire one year from date of issue. To renew in person present a photo ID and proof of current in-district employment to the Circulation Desk. You may receive a temporary renewal online.
Students from these schools may obtain a borrower's card. Present proof of current enrollment and another photo ID at the Circulation Services desk to obtain a card. A total of ten (10) items may be checked out at any time on a single card. Items on reserve for classes are not eligible for checkout by these students. You will have the same privileges as a community borrower.
All registered borrowers may view their own library record from the Library Catalog. This allows you to see what items are checked out and what fines have accrued. You may also renew eligible items and cancel any holds you have placed.
