Directories provide lists of Web sites organized by subject. A human staff (often called the editorial staff) evaluate and compile these lists of Web sites.
The Yahoo! subject directory is one of the oldest and most recognized web subject directories. Although Yahoo! has recently emphasized their search engine and other services, the Yahoo! directory is still a great place to find high quality web sites.

This subject directory is maintained by the Drexel University College of Information Science and Technology and a consortium of other information science schools.
