A good source for articles from magazines, journals and newspapers about your company. Access Datamonitor Reports for select companies. Datamonitor reports can include an overview of the company, key facts, history, major products, top competitors and SWOT analyses. These reports are found by click on "More" which is on the first page of the database.
- Morningstar Investment Research Center
Morningstar is one of the leading independent sources for stock analysis and data in the world - helping investors everywhere make better decisions. Search by company name or ticker symbol. Good source for stock analysis, company profiles, and lists of industry peers.
- Regional Business News
Provides full text for more than 80 regional US and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications).
- Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage
Search this database for financial and investment information about major publicly-held companies.
- Wall Street Journal
Retrieve company information from this business newspaper.
Internet Sites
- Company web sites
Company web sites are excellent sources of information about goals/missions; products and services; finance; organization; markets served. Remember, however, that this information originates with the company itself. Look for "Investor Information" or "Invester Relations" links that are often at the top or bottom of the website. Annual Reports can often be found on those pages.
- Yahoo Finance ( http://finance.yahoo.com)
Enter the ticker symbol of your company and select "Major Holders" under the "Ownership" section. This will give you a list of the major "inside" stockholders and the top institutional holders for your company.
