Business 1100 Research Guide

Business Topic Analysis Project

Select a business concept or topic; a business person; a company; or an industry and read several articles or news stories about that subject. Then discuss and analyze the subject, summarizing and highlighting major or interesting issues related to it. Please refer to the handout from your instructor that contains detailed guidelines for the project.

Use the databases listed below to find articles and news stories about your subject. The databases are available from your home or work computer with a valid College of DuPage library card.

Databases

Business and Company ASAP or Business Source Elite

Any of these business databases are good for finding articles (many which are fulltext) on a business topic, an industry, a company or a business person.

Wall Street Journal

Find articles in the Wall Street Journal on your topic.

Hoover's Online

Hoover's Online is a wonderful source of information on companies with links to web sites, news articles, stock charts and annual reports.
