Article Indexes

  • Library Literature (1984 - present) This is an index to materials of libraries and librarianship. It contains citations, short abstracts and some full-text articles from magazines and journals dealing specifically with library sceince.

  • Article 1st (1990- present) This index of articles from nearly 12,500 journals contains citations.

  • Books-in-Print (Current) Verifies author, title, publisher, ISBN, and price for books in and out of print. Includes some book reviews.

  • ERIC (1966 - present) ERIC contains journal articles and reports in the field of education. Entries contain citations, abstracts, and some full text.

  • Expanded Academic Index (Infotrac) (1980- present) Contains abstracts and many full-text articles from over 2,500 periodicals and newspapers.

  • UnionLists (Current) OCLC Union List of Periodicals can help you determine if a library holds a specific journal issue.

  • Wilson Select Plus (1994 -present) Citations, abstracts and some full-text articles from over 430 periodicals

  • ALA. http://www.ala.org The official web site of the American Library Association. Contains important documents such as "The Library Bill of Rights". Job information, and useful links for anything dealing with libraries.

  • Library Support Staff Resource Center. http://flightline.highline.edu/lssrc/ A collection of all types of information relating specifically to library technical assistants. Contains job listings, descriptions, and salary information.

  • The College of DuPage LTA Program Web Site. http://www.cod.edu/library/libweb/Slusar/lta/index.htm Provides information about the LTA program for currently enrolled and prospective students.
