How Do I Find the Whole Article
in SocIndex?

1. In SocIndex:

  • Look for the notation "HTML Full Text " or "PDF Full Text" after the article reference.
  • Click on the link to the article.

2. In the C.O.D. Library:

  • Look for the notation "This title is held locally ."
  • Then look in the C.O.D. Library Catalog under the title of the journal to find out where the issue you need is located.
  • Come into the Library to photocopy the article.
    NOTE: You may not check out journals.

3. In another electronic database:

  • Find out if the full-text of your article is available in another electronic database, such as Expanded Academic ASAP or Academic Search Premier, by searching for the title of the journal in the library's "Find a specific journal title" online journal locator, available from the "Article Databases" page on the Library's Web site. Note: You may also click on "Find This."
  • Then go to the database and type in the title of the article.

4. From another library:

  • Use Interlibrary Loan to order the article from another library.

  • Fill out the online form and submit.
    NOTE:
    The article will take about 5 days to arive. No charge.
