Conversational skills can be greatly enhance by listening to or reading Spanish. Finding materials in local stores in the suburbs can be difficult, but the College of DuPage Library and the World Wide Web offer a number of great opportunities.

Feature Films in the College of DuPage Library
The Library has a number of Spanish language films in both VHS and DVD formats. To locate them, do a subject search on the words "feature films" followed by any spanish speaking country. For example: Feature Films, Spain or Feature Films, Mexico. Many American produced movies in the DVD format have alternate soundtracks in Spanish. The rental cost is quite reasonable, just $1.00 for one week.
Spanish Language Magazines in the College of DuPage
Like films, magazines can improve your fluency and vocabulary. In addition they keep you up to date with the culture, history, and current events of Spanish speaking communities. The Library owns the following titles. All can be found in the Current Periodical section on the main floor of the Library. Comfortable chairs are located nearby for you to sit and read.
