The Buswell Library at Wheaton College and the Library at College of DuPage entered into a reciprocal borrowing agreement January 1, 2005. Current students, faculty, and staff will be permitted to borrow circulating materials from each other's libraries. The following Information is for College of DuPage affiliates.
Wheaton College affiliates, please check How to Get a Library Card on the College of DuPage Library website. You will have the same borrowing privilege as College of DuPage Community Borrowers, but no off-campus access to licensed databases or Interlibrary Loan privileges.
Current COD students:
- Present an Illinois driver's license and your current class schedule showing that you are pursuing a certificate, associate’s degree, or transfer program.
Students registered for non-credit or continuing education courses, courses offered through the Business and Professional Institute, or students registered for developmental courses (0 level courses) are NOT eligible for reciprocal borrowing.- Fill out the Courtesy Guest Account Application form at Buswell Library.
Your driver's license and current schedule must be presented each time you borrow.Current COD faculty and staff:
- Present a current COD staff identification card.
- Fill out the Courtesy Guest Account Application form at Buswell Library.
Your COD staff id card will then be used as your borrower's card.
- All materials that normally circulate to Buswell's courtesy guest borrowers are available to eligible College of Dupage students, faculty, and staff. This includes books, scores, curriculum items, government documents, maps and sheet music. This does not include reference books, periodicals, items in special collections, CDs, videotapes, or DVDs. Those items are available for use in the Library. Refer to the Library's website for more information.
- College of DuPage borrowers do not have off campus access to databases licensed to Wheaton College.
- Interlibrary loan is not available through Wheaton. Interlibrary loan requests by COD borrowers can be made online through the COD Library or by contacting the COD Reference Desk.
The Library has a collection of nearly one million items and subscriptions to approximately 1,500 periodicals. The make up of the collection supports the curricular programs offered at Wheaton College with especially strong collections in religion and music.

Go north on Lambert Road to Rte 38 (Roosevelt Road).
Turn left (west) on 38 to Washington Street.
Turn right (north) onto Washington.
Campus begins just over the railroad tracks.
