Elmhurst College, A. C. Buehler Library and the Library at College of DuPage entered into a reciprocal borrowing agreement on October 1, 2002. Current students, faculty, and staff will be permitted to borrow circulating materials from each other's libraries. The following Information is for College of DuPage affiliates.
Elmhurst College affilates, please check How to Get a Library Card on the College of DuPage Library website. You will have the same borrowing privilege as College of DuPage Community Borrowers, but no off-campus access to licensed databases or Interlibrary Loan privileges.
Current COD students:
- Present an Illinois driver's license and your current class schedule.
- Fill out a short registration card at Elmhurst College Library.
Your driver's license and current schedule must be presented each time you borrow. Note: You must present your entire schedule, not just the part labeled Student ID.
Current COD faculty and staff:
- Present a current COD staff identification card.
- Fill out a short registration card at Elmhurst College Library.
Your COD staff id card will then be used as your borrower's card.
- All materials that normally circulate to Elmhurst College's community borrowers are available to eligible College of Dupage students, faculty, and staff. This does not include reference books, periodicals, items in special collections, videotapes, or equipment. Reference books, periodicals, items in special collections, and videotapes are available for use in the Buehler Library.
- College of DuPage borrowers do not have off campus access to databases licensed to Elmhurst College.
- Interlibrary loan is not available through Elmhurst. Interlibrary loan requests by COD borrowers can be made online through the COD Library or by contacting the COD Reference Desk.
- The individual borrower is responsible for all fines and/or bills for late, lost, damaged, or non-returned items.
- COD students with fines and or bills may have a hold placed on their library record and at registration and records.
- COD faculty and staff are subject to the normal collection policies of Elmhurst College.

Go south on Lambert Road to Butterfield Road (Rte 56).
Take Butterfield east (left) to York Road.
Go north (right) on York Road to St. Charles Rd. (approx. 2 1/2 miles)
Turn west (left) onto St. Carles and go to Prospect Ave.
Turn right onto Prospect to the Alexander Blvd.
Take two left hand turns into the main parking lot.
The College is located at 190 Prospect Avenue.
