Allowing Internet Explorer Popup Windows from COD Web Sites

In some instances, users running Internet Explorer with Pop-up Blocker enabled on Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 machines may have problems accessing some college systems such as Blackboard and webmail. To resolve this problem, complete the following steps to allow popup windows ONLY from College of DuPage websites.

Configuring Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Select Tools / Pop-up Blocker / Pop-up Blocker Settings to display the Pop-up Blocker Settings



Note: If you do not see Pop-up Blocker listed on the Tools menu, your machine does not have Service Pack 2 installed. For more information on installing Service Pack 2, visit Learn About Windows XP Service Pack 2

3. Enter *.cod.edu in the Address of Web site to allow: text box and click Add. The address you entered will now be listed in the Allowed sites box.

4. Click Close to return to Internet Explorer
